SERVICING OUR CUSTOMERS FOR 50 YEARS!

Ater Warehouse, Inc. is a Wilson Trailer Distributor for LA, MS, AR, and Western TN in addition to being a dealer for Muv-All, Manac, Eager Beaver, Mate, and ITI Trailers. We are also a heavy truck and trailer parts distributor as well as a trailer repair service center at two locations in Ferriday, LA, and West Helena, AR.

Our beginnings date back to 1970 when Don Ater Chevrolet(Est. 1969), owned by Don E. Ater, handled new and used heavy trucks but also became a Wilson Trailer Dealer. Next door to the Chevrolet Dealership, Don E. Ater purchased a Magobar drilling materials warehouse and renamed it Don Ater Warehouse. Even though he sold the Chevrolet dealership in 1971, he and his sons Don W. Ater, and Ed Ater decided to keep the heavy trucks and Wilson Trailer sales. They moved those two divisions next door to the ongoing warehouse business, rented an adjacent lot for displaying products, and kept the name Don Ater Warehouse.

In 1972, Don E. Ater purchased the current location in Ferriday, LA, which was an auto and tractor dealership. It remained Don Ater Warehouse until the premature death of Don E. Ater in the fall of 1974.

The family continued to operate the business under the new name of Ater Warehouse, Inc. with Don W. Ater serving as President and CEO, Ed Ater, General Manager, Al Ater, and Butch Cavin in sales, as well as the matriarch and mother, LaVonne, and sisters, Lynette and Kay, furnishing leads and goodwill.

In 1986, the AR and Western TN territory became available on the condition that Ater Warehouse, Inc. would have a presence in the market.  Butch Cavin moved to Memphis and opened the store there until it was moved to West Helena, AR, for customer convenience.

In 2000, after thirty years of service, Don W. Ater sold his stock, to brother and partner Ed Ater, President and CEO, who has expanded customer service and products at Ater Warehouse Inc. to the next level.

Many thanks to our wonderful customers and employees!
